The Task

Create a deviation using stock from *B-SquaredStock that depicts your interpretation of vampires.

Rules

1. Your image must contain at least one stock image (or brush, action etc.) from the gallery of *B-SquaredStock.  This is a must!  Deviations that do not meet this criteria will be rejected ( that sounds so mean) (You can use more than one piece if you want to )

Wow!  It's been forever everyone!  It's been a difficult road but Allison and I are finally graduating university   We have three more days of classes and three weeks of exams and then we will be finished!!!

As you may have noticed, I have begun uploading some images (most are from months ago).  We have also planned a celebratory stock shoot for the end of the week   AND we've decided to host a contest!!! Read details below   Hope you're all having a wonderful week

On the note of crediting.  

I've noticed that I will be browsing DA, answering comments etc. and I come across a deviation that has used my stock but that I was never notified of.  Out of curiosity, I searched DA for squaredstock (because the b- turns up too many unrelated images) and I found over 100 deviations using my stock that I had never seen.  Most of the artists had credited me in the description, however, they had not notified me of the stock use.  I have this notification rule because I want to keep track of my stock but also because I want to see what has been created!  That was why I started this account, to see what others would do with my images.  Please, if you use my stock, credit this account and notify me.


Also, I've noticed that some deviants are crediting ~SquaredStock instead of *B-SquaredStock  It's an easy mistake to make but please check to make sure that you have notified and credited the correct stock provider

Selecting the Winners</b>
The Judges will each choose their top three choices from each category (21 in total). The entries will then be given points for how the judges ranked them, 1 Point for 3rd, 2 points for 2nd and 3 points for 1st.  The deviation with the most points will win the category. Seven winners will be chosen.

The judges will make their choices by taking into account the creativity, skill, effort and overall execution of the entries.

I was hoping it would not have to come to this, however, our stock may no longer be used off site without our permission.  This is due to many artists using our stock and not crediting or notifying us of its use.  If you want to use something off of DeviantArt, you must contact us and receive permission first.  If I find that you have not followed this rule, I will be doing what I can to have the picture removed.  

On the note of crediting.  

I've noticed that I will be browsing DA, answering comments etc. and I come across a deviation that has used my stock but that I was never notified of.  Out of curiosity, I searched DA for squaredstock (because the b- turns up too many unrelated images) and I found over 100 deviations using my stock that I had never seen.  Most of the artists had credited me in the description, however, they had not notified me of the stock use.  I have this notification rule because I want to keep track of my stock but also because I want to see what has been created!  That was why I started this account, to see what others would do with my images.  Please, if you use my stock, credit this account and notify me.


Also, I've noticed that some deviants are crediting ~SquaredStock instead of *B-SquaredStock  It's an easy mistake to make but please check to make sure that you have notified and credited the correct stock provider

The Judges will each choose their top three choices from each category (9 in total). The Task</b>

Create something inspiring using the stock from *B-SquaredStock, ~Galatea88 or !PKVstock

Rules</b>

1. Your image must contain a stock image (or brush, action etc.) from at least one of the following stock accounts: *B-SquaredStock, ~Galatea88 or !PKVstock This is a must!  Deviations that do not meet this criteria will be rejected ( that sounds so mean) (There is no maximum by the way, you can use stock from all of our accounts if you want to )
2. You may use whatever other stock you want.
3. You must follow the rules of the artist(s) whose stock you use.
4. Be creative!
4. You may enter up to 3 times.

Deadline</b>
All entries must be new (July 25th,2009 or later) and must be submitted by 11:59pm ET on October 25th, 2009.  This deadline has been extended by one month from September 25th to October 25th

*Please note that if you donate a prize you are still eligible to enter the contest.  Judges are not allowed to enter the competition though they can enter the non-competitive category if they would like to participate in the challenge.

Selecting the Winners</b>
The Judges will each choose their top three choices from each category (9 in total). The entries will then be given points for how the judges ranked them, 1 Point for 3rd, 2 points for 2nd and 3 points for 1st.  The deviation with the most points will win the category.  After the three winners are chosen, all of the remaining deviations from all of the three categories will be subjected to a public poll.  The winner of the poll will be the public choice winner.

The judges will make their choices by taking into account the creativity, skill, effort and overall execution of the entries.

As a side note, I noticed that some deviants are crediting ~SquaredStock instead of *B-SquaredStock  It's an easy mistake to make but please check to make sure that you have notified and credited the correct stock provider

Stock Rules
1. The rules are really simple and we are nice people so    please adhere to the rules that have been set out.
2. You do not need to ask us to use our stock.
3. Credit this account in the deviation description.
4. Send us a link to your creation through either a note or a comment.
5. If you adhere to these rules, then you may use our stock in prints.
6. You can use our stock outside of DeviantArt but you still have to follow the rules for using our stock.
7. If we have an image in a pack that you would like to have but you don't want to or can't download the large .zip file, send us a note saying which image you would like with an email address and we will send the image to you.
8.  Commercial use will only be granted on a person to person basis.  If you want to use our stock commercially, you must contact and receive permission from us first.
9. Feel free to ask us about anything else regarding our stock. We are happy to answer any questions.

Inspired Contest

The Task</b>

Create something inspiring using the stock from *B-SquaredStock, ~Galatea88 or !PKVstock

Rules</b>

1. Your image must contain a stock image (or brush, action etc.) from at least one of the following stock accounts: *B-SquaredStock, ~Galatea88 or !PKVstock This is a must!  Deviations that do not meet this criteria will be rejected ( that sounds so mean) (There is no maximum by the way, you can use stock from all of our accounts if you want to )
2. You may use whatever other stock you want.
3. You must follow the rules of the artist(s) whose stock you use.
4. Be creative!
4. You may enter up to 3 times.

Deadline</b>
All entries must be new (July 25th,2009 or later) and must be submitted by 11:59pm ET on October 25th, 2009.  This deadline has been extended by one month from September 25th to October 25th

How’s It Going To Work?</b>

This challenge will have 3 competitive categories and one non-competitive.  The categories will be as follows:

Beginner
Intermediate
Advanced

Non-Competitive
Choose this category if you want to participate in the challenge but do not want to be judged and receive prizes.

Submitting Your Deviation(s)</b>

When submitting your deviation, please send a note to
*B-SquaredStock with a link to your entry.  Also in your note, please state which category you are entering (beginner, intermediate, advanced or non-competitive).  Please write in the comments of your deviation that this is an entry to our contest.
